Hammers boss David Moyes has signed Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse and Konstantinos Mavropanos whilst Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has brought Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber to the Emirates.

However, it could be argued that the two managers still need to strengthen their ranks even further still before next week’s transfer deadline.
And it seems as though both clubs could be going for the same player…
West Ham face problem as Fabrizio Romano drops transfer update claiming Arsenal could make late 23-year-old star swoop
It seems as though the Hammers could face competition from the Gunners for Ajax ace Mohammed Kudus this summer.
Well-renowned Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano explained why he wouldn’t rule out Arsenal coming in late for Kudus:

“Let’s see what happens also with Arsenal. Because Arsenal in June called for Kudus then they invested big money on Kai Havertz and all the other players they signed this summer including [Jurrien] Timber and Declan Rice. So that’s why with Arsenal nothing was going to continue but never say never. That’s why Ajax decided to wait and not accept West Ham’s proposals.”
The Ghana international is exactly the kind of player we need, what with his pace, power and real explosiveness.
However, with Arsenal sniffing around, signing Kudus may well prove to be a tough task for the Hammers.
And after the latest transfer update from Fabrizio Romano, West Ham should ensure that we get this one wrapped up as soon as possible, before the Gunners even have a chance to hijack the deal.
