West Ham United could face a big problem with Aston Villa allegedly trying to hijack our move to sign Attila Szalai.
That’s according to a report from Turkish publication Fanatik who claim that Aston Villa ‘will make an offer’ for the 24-year-old centre-back.

West Ham are reportedly ready to make a £13.4 million bid for Szalai.
It now seems as though Aston Villa could be a big, big problem for the Hammers though.
David Moyes and Steven Gerrard both desperately need to strengthen their central defensive ranks at the London Stadium and Villa Park respectively this summer.

New signings Nayef Aguerd and Diego Carlos are both out with long-term injuries so Moyes and Gerrard must act fast in the transfer market.
And it seems as though both the Hammers and Villa could be after the same player…
Aston Villa threaten to hijack West Ham move for Attila Szalai
According to Fanatik, the Villans will make an offer for the Fenerbahce ace in the coming days.
The Hammers were allegedly prepared to bid around £13 million for the Hungarian but Villa are apparently ready to go higher.
So West Ham will have to act fast if Moyes does indeed want to bring the centre-back to the London Stadium this summer.
We think that Szalai would be a superb addition for the club.
He really does have absolutely everything that the Hammers need at the moment.
The physically imposing Fenerbahce centre-back seems to be tailor made for the Premier League.

Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the 24-capped Hungary international is an imposing figure. He is incredibly strong, athletic and dominant in the air.
In 32 Super Lig games for Fenerbahce last season, Szalai bagged one goal and two assists. During those appearances, he averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and two clearances per game (Who Scored).
He made 43.8 passes per match and recorded a completion rate of 81% (Who Scored).
Szalai’s former manager Petros Konnafis once labeled him as an ‘unbelievable’ defender and likened him to Virgil van Dijk (First Time Finish).
West Ham would be wise to get a deal for Attila Szalai wrapped up as soon as possible with Aston Villa now said to be lurking.
Missing out on the Hungarian to Villa would be a huge blow for the Hammers in my opinion.
