West Ham allegedly could face competition from Leeds for the signing of Boubacar Kamara in the January transfer window.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa wants to bring the 22-year-old Marseille midfielder to Elland Road before the January window slams shut according to a report from Sky Sports.
The Hammers are believed to be leading the race for the talented young Frenchman’s signature according to Corriere dello Sport (print edition January 13th, page 19).

Both Leeds and West Ham need to bolster their central midfield ranks. And with that in mind, there could be a really fierce battle for Kamara’s signature over the course of the next few days.

The Marseille man is one of the most sought-after young players in world football. He will be available on a free transfer in the summer.
However, Marseille are prepared to allow the 22-year-old midfielder to leave this month for just £5 million, rather than risk losing him for nothing in the summer when his contract expires according to a report from Corriere dello Sport (print edition January 17th, page 12).
West Ham face Leeds competition for Kamara in the January window
Sky Sports reckon that the Whites are now keen to sign the talented Frenchman. That will make it even harder for David Moyes to bring the 22-year-old to the London Stadium this month.
Kamara would be an unbelievable addition for West Ham. He is a quite brilliant young player and Milan Reports describe the Frenchman as a ‘sensational’ talent.
If Moyes manages to bring the Marseille ace to the London Stadium this month for just £5 million, you could argue that it would be the Hammers’ best transfer business over the past decade or so.

He has the kind of ability that would take West Ham to another level. So Leeds entering the race for his signature will certainly represent the East London outfit with a real problem.
The young Frenchman is a defensive midfielder by trade. He doesn’t possess the kind of box-to-box attributes that Declan Rice does but he is technically as good as the 23-year-old West Ham star.
The 22-year-old Marseille man is tenacious in the tackle, is incredibly dynamic and has bundles of energy. Kamara is an exceptional passer of the football as well.
He’s made 60.6 passes on average per game and has recorded an incredibly successful completion rate of 89.5% (Who Scored).
The West Ham owners and David Moyes should be doing everything they can to bring Kamara to the London Stadium before the January transfer window slams shut.
However, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is seemingly set to make our task of doing just that a lot hard over the next few days.
