West Ham United are looking into the possibility of signing Lille superstar in the making Amadou Onana in the summer.
That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato who claim that the Hammers could face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Monaco for the 20-year-old’s signature.

Central midfield is definitely an area where West Ham boss David Moyes needs to strengthen in the summer transfer window.
Mark Noble has retired whilst Alex Kral has no future at the London Stadium after a woeful season-long loan spell with the Hammers.
Signing a midfielder with youth on their side, tremendous quality and real energy and dynamism should be Moyes’s intention. And it seems as though he’s going for gold this summer…
West Ham eyeing Amadou Onana swoop
Foot Mercato reckon that the 20-year-old midfield sensation is very much on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
What an incredible signing he would be for West Ham.
The 6ft 6in central midfielder is an absolute giant.
He’s powerful, energetic and has everything that Moyes will be looking for in the middle of the park.
The Belgium under-21 international is equally as strong with both feet, and that’s somewhat of a rarity in the modern game.
In 32 Ligue 1 outings for Lille last season, Onana averaged 1.5 tackles and one interception per game. He made 20 passes on average per match and recorded a completion rate of 84% (Who Scored).
The 20-year-old is an absolute powerhouse of a player and would be an unreal addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer. He has been described as an ‘incredible’ player by Total Football Analysis.
One thing’s for sure, if West Ham sign Amadou Onana in the summer transfer window, we will be a much stronger team next season than we were this term.
