West Ham United are allegedly really keen to sign talented striker Mohamed Bayo from Clermont in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato who claim that the 23-year-old hitman could be picked up for as little as £8.5 million.

Signing a top-class centre-forward will be absolutely pivotal for David Moyes this summer, if his Hammers side are to go on and make some real progress next season.
Michail Antonio is currently the only senior striker at the London Stadium and the lack of options up front ended up proving costly for us last term.

The 32-year-old has been very good for West Ham over the past two years or so but he desperately needs more competition. He has said so himself!
And it seems as though Moyes is determined to bring in someone who can really challenge Micky next season…
West Ham really want to sign Mohamed Bayo
Foot Mercato reckon that the Hammers ‘tremendously appreciate’ the Guinea international striker.
However, we could face competition from the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Marseille for Bayo’s signature.
The 23-year-old was in fine form this season with 14 goals and five assists in 32 Ligue 1 games to his name (Transfermarkt). That comes after bagging 22 goals and eight assists in 38 Ligue 2 games last term.

At just 23, he has so much talent and potential. He is still very raw of course. He has all the skills needed but they need to be refined before he becomes an elite striker.
Importantly, Bayo possesses blistering pace and he is very strong indeed, so should be ideally suited to Premier League football.
Signing Bayo for just £8.5 million seems like an absolute no-brainer for West Ham this summer.
Let’s hope that Moyes manages to get this one over the line as soon as possible.
