West Ham are keen to sign young striker sensation Junior Adamu from RB Salzburg in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from The Daily Mail who claim that the Hammers will have to pay around £12 million to get a deal done for the supremely talented 20-year-old front-man.
West Ham could face competition from the likes of Southampton, Ajax, Hertha Berlin and Red Bull Leipzig for his signature though.
Signing a central striker will obviously be the main priority for Hammers manager David Moyes in the summer transfer window.
Michail Antonio has been the only option available to the Scot at the London Stadium since Sebastien Haller was sold back in January 2021.
That clearly needs to change if we are to compete on all fronts next season. And it seems as though Moyes has his eye on someone very special to come in and compete with Antonio…
West Ham want to sign Junior Adamu
The Daily Mail claims that the 20-year-old is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
West Ham could face strong competition from numerous clubs for his signature but we believe that Moyes should be going all out to sign the exciting youngster.
The Austria under-21 international bagged seven goals and five assists in 30 Austrian Bundesliga games for RB Salzburg last season (Transfermarkt).
His career record of 49 goals and 19 assists in 121 games (Transfermarkt) makes for pretty impressive reading considering his age.
He is absolutely lightning quick and that blistering pace makes him a constant menace for opposing defenders.
West Ham signing Junior Adamu for just £12 million seems like an absolute no-brainer for me.
Let’s hope that we manage to get this one done. David Moyes did say that he wants to implement the RB model at the London Stadium. And signing the 20-year-old would quite literally be evidence of that!
