Hammers boss David Moyes will be a busy man in the January transfer window.

The Scot’s priorities will undoubtedly be to sign a top-class centre-forward and an established high quality central defender.

It seems as though Moyes is in the market for another central midfielder as well though. And the West Ham fans might not be best pleased about it.

West Ham eyeing January Aaron Ramsey swoop

Eurosport claims that the Hammers have made an enquiry for the 31-year-old Juventus man.

It is suggested that we have asked how much the package to sign the 71-capped Wales international would cost us in January.

Juve are allegedly prepared to let Ramsey leave for a bargain fee in order to get his wages off the books.

The former Arsenal man currently earns £220k-a-week at Juventus (Calcio Mercato).

Let’s be honest here…there is no way West Ham should be going anywhere near Aaron Ramsey. In actual fact, we find it hard to believe that Moyes would want to bring the ageing midfielder to the London Stadium.

The 31-year-old was a top-class performer in his day but he is not the player he once was. Injuries have wreaked havoc with his progress over the past few years.

Since the start of the 2018/19 season, Ramsey has missed 271 days of action (Transfermarkt).

Signing Ramsey would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. David Moyes has continually insisted that he wants to bring young, hungry and robust players to West Ham.

The 31-year-old Juventus man certainly doesn’t fit into that category.

Even if he is available for a bargain fee, we should avoid him at all costs. There are far better options out there for West Ham.
