West Ham United player Thilo Kehrer could be set to join one of the biggest clubs in world football in January.

Thilo Kehrer joined West Ham from French giants Paris-Saint Germain in the summer of 2022 for a fee believed to be worth around £13 million, but he’s failed to establish himself at the London Stadium.

The 27-year-old defender has already been linked with a move away from the Hammers in the January transfer window, with the likes of Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt thought to be chasing his signature.

It seemed as though David Moyes secured a great deal for West Ham when he brought the 27-capped Germany international to the club, but it hasn’t worked out like that at all.

And now Kehrer and the East London outfit could be set to go their separate ways when the winter transfer window opens up…

Thilo Kehrer could leave West Ham

Tuttosport claim that the Hammers defender is a transfer target for AC Milan in the January window.

During an extensive and wide-ranging study, Milan were recently named as the sixth biggest club in world football (The Mirror).

So if the Italian giants do make a move to sign Kehrer, I’m positive that he would be interested in a move to the San Siro.

I believe that the former PSG man leaving the London Stadium this winter would be the best thing for all parties involved.

The German doesn’t seem to have the concentration levels, decision making ability and focus needed to succeed in the Premier League.

He’s far too rash in the tackle as well, so a return to the more pedestrian-paced Italian league may well be the perfect scenario for him this winter.

If West Ham manage to sell Thilo Kehrer to AC Milan for anything like the £13 million that we paid for him 16 months ago, then moving him on will be an absolute no-brainer.
