Manchester United have joined West Ham United in the hunt for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi ahead of the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport who claim that Manchester United scouted Frattesi, and the Premier League club are showing the most interest in signing the 23-year-old Sassuolo ace.
West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring Gianluca Scamacca’s ex-teammate to the London Stadium according to the likes of FcInterNews.
The West Ham and Manchester United January transfer window target is believed to be valued at around €25 million (£22 million), according to Sempre Inter.

That seems like really good value to us, and we’d love to see Frattesi reunite with Scamacca at West Ham in the January transfer window.
It seems as though there may be a big problem ahead for the Hammers though…
West Ham face Manchester United competition for Frattesi in January transfer window
Man United have been scouting the 23-year-old Sassuolo midfielder according to a report from Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is being claimed that Manchester United are in pole position out of the English clubs in the race for the Italian’s signature.
We believe that the Sassuolo ace would be an exceptional addition for either West Ham or Manchester United.
He is an orthodox central midfielder by trade but he can also operate in the number 10 position.
The 23-year-old bagged four goals and three assists in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo last season (Who Scored).
During those outings, Frattesi averaged 1.3 tackles, one interception and 1.3 clearances per game (Who Scored).
The Italian ace made 34 passes on average per match and recorded an impressive 83.7% completion rate (Who Scored).
He has three goals in nine Serie A games for far this season (Transfermarkt).
Frattesi is an incredibly good footballer with impressive technical ability, a fine engine and an attitude of the very highest level.

He has been described as a brilliant player by TMW.
We would absolutely love to see the Italian arrive at the London Stadium.
Unfortunately for West Ham though, Manchester United are chasing Frattesi’s signature ahead of the January transfer window as well.
And that may well make it difficult for us to sign the 23-year-old.
However, it is worth noting that Scamacca may be able to tempt his old mate into choosing East London over Manchester. Here’s to hoping anyway!
The West Ham striker is best mates with Frattesi after-all.
