West Ham United left-back Emmanuel Longelo allegedly could be moved on by David Moyes this summer as we try to sign Joe Worrall.

That’s according to Claret and Hugh who claims that the 21-year-old could be used as a makeweight in a deal that would see Nottingham Forest centre-back Joe Worrall head to the London Stadium.

Moyes clearly needs to sign a top-class central defender this summer.

And according to a report from The Sun, West Ham are leading the race to sign Worrall from Forest at the end of the season for around £12-15 million.

And then Claret and Hugh suggested that we are in a great position to bring the defender to the London Stadium from the City Ground.

We think that the 25-year-old man-mountain would be a very smart addition for the Hammers in the summer. It appears as though we may well lose one of our bright young talents as part of the deal though…

West Ham could send Longelo to Forest as part of deal to sign Worrall

Claret and Hugh reckon that Manny Longelo could be moved on to Forest this summer as a makeweight in a deal that would see Worrall head to East London.

ExWHUemployee claimed back in January that the Hammers value the 21-year-old at around £1 million.

Whether Forest share the same valuation of the talented left-back is unclear though.

Whilst Worrall would be a good signing for the Hammers, losing Longelo would be tough to take. The young left-back seems like he has everything needed to succeed at the very highest level.

The 21-year-old showcased his talent for the senior side during our Europa League clash with Dinamo Zagreb back in December last year. He was arguably the best player on the pitch.

Longelo has great technique, pace and energy. And the wisdom behind the decision to let him go would have to be questioned, if that is indeed what Moyes decides to do in the summer.

Surely we should just sign Worrall as a standalone deal. We may well need Longelo next season with Aaron Cresswell ageing and beginning to suffer regular injuries on a fairly consistent basis.
