West Ham are keen to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and we could now pick him up for less than £60 million.

That’s according to a report from The Sun who claims that the Everton striker’s big wages will not put off the Hammers.

We could face competition from Arsenal for his signature, however.

West Ham manager David Moyes will be desperate to bring a proven striker to the London Stadium in the summer.

And The Sun reckon that Everton boss Frank Lampard is prepared to move Dominic Calvert-Lewin on from Goodison Park.

So it seems as though the Hammers could go back in for the Toffees hitman.

West Ham could get Calvert-Lewin for less than £60 million

The East London outfit tried to sign the 25-year-old forward in the the January transfer window but we were allegedly put off by Everton’s huge £60 million asking price.

The Hammers are ready to go back in for Calvert-Lewin in the summer though with Lampard now ready to slash his asking price.

The England international earns around £72k-a-week at Everton according to Salary Sport. And that kind of wage will not put off West Ham.

Calvert-Lewin has been in fine form for Everton, having scored 24 goals in his last 50 games in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

He is comfortable when leading the line on his own and is always willing to make the tireless runs into the channels.

The 25-year-old would provide very strong competition for Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.

He would obviously be a brilliant addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

Perhaps if we could pick him up for around £40-45 million it would be a good deal. Whether Everton will be prepared to sell for that kind of fee remains to be seen though.

Arsenal’s interest in the Everton striker will undoubtedly be a problem for West Ham.

And it will be interesting to see whether we have the financial muscle or the ambition to beat the Gunners to Calvert-Lewin’s signature when the summer transfer window opens.
