West Ham can apparently sign 'devastating' Jovane Cabral for just £6 million

West Ham United reportedly could sign Sporting Lisbon winger Jovane Cabral on the cheap in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from A Bola who claim that the Hammers actually made an official bid to sign the 23-year-old attacker last summer.

West Ham boss David Moyes will be a very busy man in the transfer market this summer.

The Scot will be prioritising the additions of a centre-forward, a left-back, a central midfielder and a centre-back. It could be argued that he needs to bring another attacking wide player to the London Stadium as well though, with Andriy Yarmolenko set to leave and Nikola Vlasic having failed to make much of an impact at the club thus far.

There are plenty of options available for West Ham but one opportunity to secure a bargain deal for a top-class player is allegedly out there waiting for us…

West Ham could sign Jovane Cabral for a bargain fee

A Bola claims that Sporting could be prepared to sell the fleet-footed attacker for just €7 million (£6 million) this summer.

That sounds like very good value indeed for someone with so much talent and potential.

Signing Cabral from Sporting may well be a very wise move from the Hammers.

He has bagged three goals and one assist in 19 games for Sporting so far this season (Transfermarkt).

That might not sound too impressive but he has struggled with a couple of injuries this term. Hopefully he has put his fitness problems behind him now.

He spent some time with Lazio on loan but is set to head back to Portugal.

Cabral has been described as a ‘devastating’ attacker by PortuGOAL.

The Cape Verde international is a very good dribbler and finisher. He also has a keen eye for a killer pass (Who Scored).

Cabral can play anywhere along the front-line. That kind of versatility would undoubtedly appeal to Moyes.

At 23, he has plenty of years left ahead of him. Sure, he might find it difficult to acclimatise immediately to the intense nature of Premier League football but his reported £6 million price-tag makes signing him totally worth that risk.

We would be more than happy if Cabral joined West Ham this summer.
