Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to partially subsidise the wages of Alphonse Areola in order to push through his permanent transfer to West Ham this summer.
That’s according to a report from The Daily Mail who claim that PSG are ready to offer Areola a pay-off in order to ensure that he’s not left lout of pocket by accepting a lower wage at West Ham.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper currently earns £120k-a-week and the Hammers have an option to buy him for £10 million in the summer (The Daily Mail).
Areola joined West Ham on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

David Moyes has utilised the Frenchman primarily as our cup keeper this season. He has played second fiddle to Lukasz Fabianski in the league but it’s clear to see that he is being primed to take over from the Pole as West Ham’s number one goalkeeper next term.
There have been concerns that the 6ft 5in stopper’s wages could scupper a move to the London Stadium. It appears as though we’ve been handed a huge boost in regards to that though…
Paris Saint-Germain to subsidise Areola wages
The Daily Mail reckon that the Ligue 1 giants are prepared to provide Areola with a pay-off so that he can then accept a lower wage at West Ham than the £120k-a-week that he’s currently on.
If true, that is fantastic news for West Ham.
Moyes should be trying to push through a percent deal for the 29-year-old at all costs. He has been described as a ‘crazy talent’ by Give Me Sport.
He is a truly fantastic goalkeeper and he could be our number one for the next seven or eight years.

Areola has proven that he is a truly top-class stopper with one save in particular for the Hammers.
With the scores tied at 0-0 on the night during our Europa League second-leg clash with Sevilla back in March, Youssef En-Nesyri fired a shot from just 12 yards out that was destined for the top left-hand corner.
Areola produced unbelievable reflexes though and reached out with his right hand to parry the ball away whilst he was moving in the opposite direction.
What an incredible save it was. There is no way that West Ham can’t sign him permanently in the summer.
And Paris Saint-Germain subsidising the wages of Areola will certainly help facilitate Moyes bringing him to the London Stadium for the foreseeable future.
