West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring his old favourite Adnan Januzaj back to the Premier League in January according to a report from Calciomercato.

The Hammers boss quite simply must bolster his ranks at the London Stadium in January.

The additions of a centre-forward and a centre-back will be paramount if we are to push on for a top four spot after the new year.

If the funds are there though, it could be argued that Moyes really needs to add to his attacking midfield department as well.

West Ham have really missed Jesse Lingard this season. In fact, his absence has stood out like a sore thumb over the past month or so. And it seems as though Moyes is determined to address that issue.

West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring Januzaj back to the Premier League in January

Calciomercato reckon that the Hammers want to sign the 13-capped Belgium international but we will face competition from Barcelona.

Moyes gave the 26-year-old his Manchester United debut way back in 2013 whilst he was in charge at Old Trafford.

The West Ham manager then brought Januzaj to Sunderland on a season-long loan in 2016 during his stint in charge of the Black Cats.

Januzaj can play on either wing or in the number 10 position. And with Said Benrahma set to head off to the the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria after the new year, signing the Sociedad ace may well be a smart move from Moyes.

He hasn’t been in great form for Real Sociedad this season with just two goals and two assists to his name in 25 games (Transfermarkt).

The Belgian ace does have genuine talent, however. He is technically gifted and has experience of playing in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old obviously has something about him. Manchester United legend Paul Scholes recently described him as ‘brilliant’ (talkSPORT).

The Sun reckons that the Sociedad ace could be snapped up for around £25 million. That seems a bit pricey. If Moyes wants Januzaj though, and genuinely thinks he will help take us to another level, then we’ll back him all the way.

Perhaps the Scot would be able to get the best out of the former Manchester United man once again.

New arrivals at the London Stadium in the January transfer window are much needed. And it seems as though Moyes is prioritising bringing one of his old favourites to the club.
