West Ham United target Hugo Ekitike has now been ‘sidelined’ at Paris Saint-Germain, both on and off the pitch.
Hugo Ekitike was a transfer target for West Ham in the summer, and Hammers boss David Moyes tried to bring him to the London Stadium for around £35 million.
After failing to sign the 21-year-old forward in the summer, West Ham allegedly could try again in the January transfer window.
Since we missed out on signing Ekitike, he has not played a single minute for PSG, and will surely be wishing that he had been able to leave the French giants to join the East London outfit.
Moyes needs to sign a new centre-forward, with a long-term replacement for Michail Antonio needed desperately at the London Stadium.
And I reckon we’ll have a great chance to sign Ekitike this winter, if Moyes is prepared to take a risk on the youngster of course…

He is not in PSG’s good books and his attitude has been called into question internally at the French club, according to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins.
As a result, PSG are allegedly keen to move the former Reims hitman on this winter.
Described as ‘unbelievable’ by Sky Sports, I think he’d be an absolutely perfect signing for us, despite his apparent attitude problems.
Moyes has a big decision to make. Does he take a punt on someone with apparent attitude problems? Or does he stick to his guns and insist on only bringing top tier characters into the club?
I have a feeling it will be the latter, but I think the Scot should veer off course and bring him to the London Stadium.
Hugo Ekitike is absolutely rapid, possesses terrific movement and is an elite finisher. He would fit Moyes’s system perfectly with the way in which he runs the channels. The Frenchman would be a major upgrade on Antonio in my opinion.
If he is available for anything like £30 million this winter, West Ham definitely should take a punt on him as far as I’m concerned.
However, I just can’t see Moyes taking the risk unfortunately.
