West Ham United are allegedly in a three-way battle to sign versatile Arsenal ace Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer.

That’s according to a report from The Express who claim that Bournemouth and Fulham are battling it out with the Hammers for the Arsenal man’s signature.

West Ham boss David Moyes is still keen to add to his squad in multiple positions this summer.

So it’s little wonder why he might be interested in bringing the versatile Arsenal man to the London Stadium.

The Hammers were first linked with the Gunners ace yesterday.

And it seems as though we could now face strong competition for the 24-year-old’s signature…

West Ham in three-way battle to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles

The Express claims that the Hammers are battling it out with Bournemouth and Fulham to sign the Arsenal ace this summer.

We think he’d be a great addition for West Ham this summer.

Maitland-Niles earns around £52k-a-week at the Emirates (Spotrac). So agreeing personal terms with the five-capped England international should not be a problem for West Ham.

The Goodmayes born ace has energy, pace, power and athleticism in abundance. He embodies everything that the modern day player needs to succeed.

He would provide stiff competition for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek in the middle of the park at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old can play in both full-back positions and in more advanced roles as well.

Arsenal could demand around £20 million for Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Daily Mail), and signing him for that kind of fee should be an absolute no-brainer for West Ham, considering how many different roles he can fulfil.

Mikel Arteta is ready to sanction the 24-year-old’s exit from the Emirates this summer (The Express).

So perhaps he could be available for even less than the quoted £20 million fee, who knows.

Either way, West Ham signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer would be a very good thing in my view.

It remains to be seen whether we are able to beat Fulham and Bournemouth to his signature, however.
