West Ham are ready to make a €12 million (£10 million) bid for Hellas Verona midfielder Antonin Barak according to a report from L’Arena.
In other…Report: David Moyes performs U-turn, doesn’t want to sell 28-year-old any more
Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly on the look-out for a new number 10.
It seems as though West Ham’s hopes of signing Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal are over.
Matheus Pereira is allegedly a key target for the Hammers boss.

It seems as though the Scot could now be looking elsewhere, however.
West Ham prepared £10m Barak offer
The Czech Republic international shone for his country at the Euros this summer.
And that may well have caught the attention of the Hammers. So much so that West Ham are allegedly ready to make a £10 million bid for the 26-year-old play-maker (L’Arena).
Matheus Pereira should be our number one target. And signing Barak would be somewhat of a downgrade on the Brazilian.
The Hellas Verona ace is international teammates with Hammers duo Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek. He enjoyed a brief spell with Slavia Prague with his fellow countryman as well.

Barak racked up seven goals and three assists in 34 games for Hellas Verona last season (Transfermarkt).
The Czech Republic international is a technically gifted operator and plays with a really attacking mindset. He is also a very hard worker, however. So it’s obvious why he would appeal to David Moyes.
Perhaps Soucek and Coufal have recommended him as well? West Ham have had great recent success signing Czech players. And it seems as though that trend could be set to continue.

Barak would be a decent acquisition for the Hammers. In no way would he be a sufficient alternative to Pereira, however. Let’s not kid ourselves.
