Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly very keen to bring one or two top class strikers to the London Stadium this summer.

One of the names to have been linked with West Ham is Haris Seferovic according to a report from O Jogo (print edition, July 5th, page 13).

It seems as though Wolves boss Bruno Lage is trying to bring the Switzerland International to Molineux as well.

West Ham and Wolves to battle it out for Seferovic

Correio da Manha claims that the Black Country outfit are set to rival the Hammers for the 29-year-old’s signature.

Seferovic is a decent forward, but he doesn’t have the best goalscoring record.

The Swiss forward has just over 100 career goals to his name and he has played over 400 games (Transfermarkt).

Having said that, Seferovic is a very hard-working striker. He is aggressive, good in the air and always gives 100 per cent.

Whether that is enough to warrant the £21 million that Benfica are demanding for him, however, is debatable.

Perhaps it could be argued that Wolves need him more than West Ham. Lage has a top class goalscorer amongst his ranks in the form of Raul Jimenez.

West Ham, meanwhile, have a hard-working front-man in the shape of Michail Antonio. What we need is a prolific centre-forward.

Perhaps this is one that we should just let Wolves crack on with!
