West Ham are allegedly trying to snatch Holland international from Leeds United’s grasp ahead of the January transfer window.
According to a report from Give Me Sport, West Ham and Leeds are battling it out to sign Club Brugge attacker Noa Lang in the January window.
David Moyes and Jesse Marsch are both allegedly keen to bolster their forward lines at the London Stadium and Elland Road respectively this winter.
Noa Lang is someone who has been on Moyes’s radar for quite some time now.
The six-capped Holland international is very highly rated, although he undoubtedly has some attitude problems.
The Sun have labelled him as a ‘wild child’, and he famously fell out with then Ajax boss Erik ten Hag after scoring a hat-trick for the Dutch giants in 2019.
It seems as though Moyes fancies the challenge of getting a tune out of Lang though. The Scot faces strong competition for the Dutch attackers signature though…
West Ham battling Leeds for Noa Lang in the January transfer window
Give Me Sport claim that the Hammers and the Whites are both interested in prising the 23-year-old star away from Club Brugge this winter.
We think that Lang would be a very useful addition to West Ham’s ranks in January, if we manage to beat Leeds to his signature of course.
He bagged nine goals and 15 assists in 48 games in all competitions for Club Brugge last season. This term he has four goals and three assists to his name in 16 games (Transfermarkt).
The Holland International has been described as an ‘extraordinary’ player by Smarter Scout.
The talented young Dutchman can play anywhere along the front-line. He is absolutely rapid and possesses exceptional technical ability.
Lang won’t come cheap though. Club Brugge are said to be demanding around €40 million (£33 million) for his services according to Voetbal Nieuws.
Having said that, the Hammers will have to be prepared to pay that kind of money for players if we expect to compete with the big boys.
Whether West Ham manage to beat Leeds to Lang’s signature in the January transfer window remains to be seen though.
