West Ham United allegedly could try to sign Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to German publication BILD who claim that Bayern could be prepared to sell the 20-year-old centre-forward for just €5 million (£4 million).

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a top-class striker this summer. In actual fact, he needs to bring two new strikers to the London Stadium. The way things have gone for us in the last few transfer windows though, we will accept one!

West Ham have been linked with a plethora of strikers since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax back in January 2021.

Moyes has so far been left empty-handed, however. The Scot has to make amends for his failings in the transfer window this summer. And it seems as though he has a plan up his sleeve…

West Ham eyeing move to sign Bayern Munich striker

BILD claims that the Hammers could make a move to sign Bayern Munich striker Josua Zirkzee at the end of this season.

We believe that the Holland under-21 international would be a very useful addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

Zirkzee has been on loan with Anderlecht this season and has been in superb form bagging 15 goals and nine assists in 38 games for the Belgian outfit (Transfermarkt).

The young forward is a really, really bright talent.

Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the young Dutchman possesses the physical capabilities that Moyes usually looks for in a striker.

For such a young player he is very strong and is very well accustomed to playing with his back to goal.

Despite Zirkzee’s height and physical progress, he is still fairly quick along the ground and is obviously a very good finisher as well.

This season has been crucially important for Zirkzee and he is getting vital exposure playing regularly at senior level.

The 20-year-old has been described as a brilliant forward by Bayern Strikes. He has also won the Bundesliga title and the Champions League with Bayern Munich so he certainly has plenty of experience in winning.

The Dutchman certainly has the ability to make the step up to the Premier League. And if West Ham manage to pick him up for just £4 million this summer, we think it would be really good business for the East London outfit.
