West Ham target Weston McKennie is reportedly waiting for Tottenham or Chelsea to make a move to sign him.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport (print edition January 17th, page 12) who claim that McKennie basically has his choice of clubs to join, but is only after a move to Tottenham, Chelsea or Borussia Dortmund.

That’s obviously terrible news for West Ham and David Moyes.

The Scot allegedly wants to bring McKennie, 24, to the London Stadium.

McKennie would literally be the perfect replacement for Declan Rice when he eventually leaves the London Stadium.

According to reports emanating from Italy though, the American will not be joining West Ham…

The two London clubs are the 24-year-old’s preference according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

McKennie will undoubtedly be a huge hit wherever he goes – he’s a superb footballer.

Tottenham experts recently told Football Insider that the 24-year-old is an ‘unbelievable’ player.

The American is an incredibly industrious, hard-working and energetic central midfielder.

He was absolutely brilliant for the United States during the World Cup out in Qatar, and clearly has all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.

I would absolutely love to see the American at West Ham.

Unfortunately for us though, it seems as though Weston McKennie is holding out for a move to either Tottenham or Chelsea in January.
