Tottenham fans seem to think that Takehiro Tomiyasu could be West Ham bound.

Spurs made an official bid for the 22-year-old Bologna centre-back yesterday according to David Ornstein.

The Hammers were recently linked with a move to sign the 23-capped Japan international (Corriere di Bologna).

West Ham boss David Moyes is desperate to sign a top class centre-back this summer. Fabian Balbuena has left the London Stadium, leaving ageing duo Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson and Issa Diop as the Scot’s only central defensive option.

Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo will be desperate to bolster his back-line as well.

Spurs were incredibly weak defensively last season, and if Nuno is to bring the glory days back to north London he needs to address that particular issue as a matter of urgency.

Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu would certainly be a very useful addition for either Spurs or the Hammers.

The Japanese ace is valued at around £15 million according to according to David Ornstein.

That seems like incredibly good value, so it’s no wonder that both London clubs are so keen to prise him away fro Bologna.

It’s still very much in the air where he will be plying his trade next season. Atalanta allegedly want him as well.
