A ‘top level’ Hammers insider has delivered a major double West Ham transfer update on Piotr Zielinski and Filip Kostic.

After the Jesse Lingard saga came to an end seven days ago, this has proved to be a much more positive week for West Ham on the transfer front.

David Moyes has finally ended his 18-month search for a striker with the £35m capture of Gianluca Scamacca.

And a host of sources have been claiming West Ham are seriously interested in some top players including Eintracht Frankfurt star Kostic, Napoli duo Zielinski and Hirving Lozano and Amadou Onana.

Sky Sports and their leading transfer reporter Dharmesh Sheth claim Kostic will consider a move to West Ham if a deal is agreed between Kostic and Frankfurt.

Indeed Sheth claims the Serbian assist king has already turned down two Champions League clubs as West Ham close in on a move.

“West Ham United still working on deal to sign Filip Kostic,” Sheth said on Twitter.

“Bid worth €15m (£12.3m) rejected by Eintracht Frankfurt. Valuation thought to be closer to €20m (£17m).

“Kostic already rejected two offers from clubs in CL. Kostic will consider West Ham if deal agreed.”

Meanwhile reports in Italy from Corriere dello Sport and Football Italia yesterday claimed West Ham have made two bids for Zielinski and offered up to €36m (£30m) for the Poland midfield ace, incredibly close to Napoli’s valuation.

It is almost double the original reported offer and suggests the Hammers are serious about getting their hands on the 72-capped star.

Now a ‘top level’ insider has delivered a major double West Ham transfer update on Zielinski and Kostic.

And it is mixed news.

The top Hammers source, speaking to Claret and Hugh, claims West Ham have no interest in signing Zielinski.

But they do state Moyes is serious about landing Kostic.

“West Ham’s potential interest in Piotr Zielinski has been dismissed by a top club source!” Claret and Hugh state.

“A top source at the club has denied that there has been anything approaching an offer for the player.

“There is nothing concrete in the interest in Zielinski and boss David Moyes is instead aiming to bring Filip Kostic into the club as a priority…

“As it is right now, Zielinski is not an active target; that could always change, of course.”

If West Ham can get a deal done for Kostic and sign another quality central midfielder they will be looking strong for the new season.

A West Ham insider has hinted at a Friday meeting for West Ham to sign assist king Kostic from Frankfurt.
