West Ham want Genk’s ‘magical’ assist king Mike Tresor if the Mohammed Kudus move fails claims a Belgian journalist.
West Ham have been working to try and sign brilliant Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus.
But as exclusively revealed on Hammers News on Friday, West Ham have seen a £41m bid rejected.
And a top club insider told us the deal is ‘faltering’ because West Ham are refusing to go any higher while Ajax are refusing to budge on their £46m valuation.
Hammers fans are excited at the prospect of signing Ghana star Kudus.

‘Things are moving’ West Ham want Genk’s ‘magical’ assist king Mike Tresor if Mohammed Kudus move fails claims Belgian journalist
Now it seems technical director Tim Steidten has a tantalising plan B up his sleeve too before the summer transfer window closes.
West Ham want Genk’s ‘magical’ assist king Mike Tresor if the Kudus move fails claims a Belgian journalist.
Friend of Hammers News, Sacha Tavolieri, claims West Ham are the Premier League club that are interested in Belgium international attacker Tresor, who is also attracting the attentions of Roma and RB Leipzig.
Tresor was the player of the year in the Belgian Pro League and is wanted by the Hammers claims the reporter. Tavolieri also says West Ham ‘must first settle’ the Lucas Paqueta situation.

Tresor scored eight goals and laid on TWENTY FOUR assists on his way to being named the Belgian league’s player of the year
But it is our understanding that West Ham’s interest in Tresor is more a back-up plan for Kudus should the club fail to make a breakthrough with Ajax.
“Things are moving for Mike Tresor!” Tavolieri said.
“West Ham United are interested in the Belgium Pro League’s best player of the 2022/2023 season and are already in contact with the Genk’s player side.
“The Hammers must first settle the Paqueta’s affair, but are keen to make progress from next week and be in touch with the Genkies.
“Wait and see.”
Tresor has been described as ‘magical’ and is the assist king of Genk – who West Ham played twice on their run to the Europa League semi-finals two seasons ago.
The 24-year-old, who – like Kudus – can play as a winger, attacking midfielder or second striker, had a phenomenal season for Genk last term.
Tresor scored eight goals and laid on 24 – yes TWENTY FOUR – assists in 38 games. That helped earn him his first caps for Belgium.
