'They'll be going' Expert makes big prediction for two West Ham striker targets this summer

French football expert makes big prediction for two West Ham striker targets this summer in transfer update.

The world and its wife knows West Ham need at least one new striker this summer.

One look at Michail Antonio’s dismal West Ham goalscoring record this year makes that abundantly clear.

West Ham have been linked with a host of striker targets ahead of the summer window including Darwin Nunez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ollie Watkins.

With Rob Newman as head of recruitment, Hammers fans have been told to expect the club to move for players in Spain, Portugal and France.

Lille attacker Jonathan David (The Daily Mail) and Clermont Foot’s Mohamed Bayo (The Sun) have both been linked with moves to West Ham.

The duo have 28 goals and four assists between them in 59 starts for their respective clubs this season.

David and Bayo tick all of Moyes’s West Ham recruitment policy boxes. They boast power, pace, athleticism and a keen eye for goal. And at 22 and 23 respectively, they are the perfect age too.

So West Ham and Moyes will be seriously encouraged by a report from experts at Get French Football News who have declared that both David and Bayo will be Premier League bound this summer.

“Jonathan David (is) a tricky case given a stellar 2021 but poor form either side,” GFFN’s transfer analysis Prospect reports.

“The Canadian will still leave Lille in the window after 13 Ligue 1 goals so far in 21/22 but suitors should be wary of an unusual skill set that could need him to be played with a strike partner.

“Mohamed Bayo (has been) linked with West Ham and Bordeaux (and) after 12 goals for the promoted side so far, Bayo won’t be staying at Clermont this summer.

“A ruthless finisher with intelligent movement, the Guinea international could become a real threat for mid-table English sides.”

West Ham fans would welcome either of the strikers this summer given Moyes’s laughable lack of options.

In fact it could be argued West Ham need to sign two strikers not only one when the next window opens on June 10th.
