West Ham United’s summer transfer business is far from finished, with talented striker Elye Wahi believed to be a transfer target.

The Hammers were actually linked with a move to sign the rapid forward only last month, and now things seem to have progressed further along the line.

Elye Wahi is incredibly talented, and has everything needed to make it in the Premier League with West Ham.

Despite his tender years, he has outstanding potential, and it’s clear to see that he’s a superstar of the future as far as I’m concerned.

Julen Lopetegui has already strengthened his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium with the addition of Niclas Fullkrug.

However, it could be argued that the Spaniard needs further reinforcements, with Michail Antonio and Danny Ings both well past their best.

In order for another striker to arrive at the club, one of Antonio or Ings will surely need to be moved on, so we don’t fall foul of the new PSR guidelines.

So could Lopetegui really bring another striker to the London Stadium this summer?

The Hammers’ summer window has already been a very good one, but it could be about to get even better.

Aside from the potential signing of a right-back, a new striker could be en route to the London Stadium, if Lopetegui gets his way.

According to a report from RMC Sport, the 21-year-old actually has an offer on the table from the Hammers.

However, it is said that he might prefer a move to Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, who have already made a £17 million offer for him…so that could be a problem for us.

Lens are demanding £26 million for Wahi, and it remains to be seen whether West Ham are prepared to pay anything like that for him.

The Hammers were heavily linked with a move to sign the 21-year-old last summer, but he joined Lens from Montpellier in the end.

Described as a ‘phenomenal’ talent by Ligue 1’s official website, Wahi would be a stunning signing for West Ham.

He possesses blistering pace, and would offer us a completely different option to Fullkrug through the middle, what with his ability to run in behind.

The 21-year-old bagged 12 goals and four assists in 37 games last term, and 19 goals and six assists in 33 outings the season before that.

Elye Wahi would be a game-changing signing for West Ham, what with his pace, elite movement and incredible finishing ability.

Only time will tell as to whether the Hammers board will stretch to Lens’ asking price for the striker though.
