A striker West Ham and Leeds fought over could now make a move as an emergency ‘joker’ signing outside the transfer window.
West Ham and Leeds United shared a lot of column inches during the summer window.
Leeds seriously angered the Hammers by signing highly-rated young striker Sonny Perkins from their academy.
A tribunal will be called to decide how much Leeds should pay West Ham for the England Under 19s star.
But Jesse Marsch and David Moyes were also said to have been battling one another for a host of players too.

One of those was Marseille striker Bamba Dieng.
Moyes was reportedly keen to bring the Senegal international to the London Stadium according to a report from MediaFootMarseille.
And Dieng was allegedly available for just £10 million on transfer deadline day.
West Ham and Leeds ended up signing a host of players with the Hammers being the third biggest spenders, laying out £170m on eight new arrivals.
But it is clear Moyes wanted even more as he tried to sign a right-back, centre-back and another attacker right up to the deadline.
Leeds too were active as they battled West Ham for Dieng and looked to have emerged victorious on deadline day.
West Ham were the ones laughing at Leeds in the end, though, as the Dieng move became the laughing stock of the window.
The striker was in the airport heading for Leeds but did not board the plane after getting a better offer from Nice.
But he failed his medical at the French club and was forced to stay at Marseille.
Dieng is a really exciting young talent and has so much potential. He has been described as the new Didier Drogba by Get Football News France.
So it was a shame neither West Ham or Leeds brought him to the Premier League.

There has been talk both clubs could revive a move in January. But that may not be an option.
Because the striker West Ham and Leeds fought over could now make a move as an emergency ‘joker’ signing outside the window.
According to L’Équipe Angers are considering the possibility of recruiting a medical’ joker’ signing after the serious injury to Loïs Diony and are thinking of Marseille striker Dieng.
Dieng is out of favour at Marseille, and new manager Igor Tudor was keen to sell.
