Earlier this week West Ham’s £35m summer signing Gianluca Scamacca was pictured starting his road to recovery.
The striker has been in his native Italy while he recovers from the knee operation which ended a disappointing debut season at West Ham.
The forward has been linked with a summer move to six of Serie A’s biggest clubs.
It comes after he and David Moyes failed to make it work at West Ham this season.
Many feel we may have seen the last of Scamacca at West Ham amid the deluge of recent speculation.

But that is not quite the case, in the literal sense at least.

West Ham’s Italian defender Angelo Ogbonna posted a picture alongside Scamacca at West Ham’s Rush Green training ground, captioned “Look who is back”.
Scamacca also re-posted it on his own Instagram account.

Many West Ham fans are desperate to see Scamacca stay and make a go of it at the club.
Moyes publicly criticised the 6ft 5in forward, calling for him to do more and improve his fitness.
But the feeling is that with a full pre-season behind him and the Hammers starting next season with a clean slate, he could go on to be a success.
Scamacca has showed glimpses of his class and unerring finishing power this season.
West Ham don’t want another Sebastien Haller on their hands where he shows the club up after being shipped out and labelled a flop.
Illness, injury and Italy not being in the World Cup – which may have given him more training and game time under his belt as it did with Nayef Aguerd – have not helped matters.

Fundamentally, though, it was clear to see Moyes was struggling to find a system to get the best out of Scamacca.
And his future will be decided by one particularly powerful man.
When it comes to agents they don’t get much more high profile than Jonathan Barnett.
Last month Hammers News reported on the fact Scamacca had signed up with Barnett and CAA Stellar.
The West Ham striker was pictured with the Gareth Bale super agent after joining his firm following his very public parting of ways from the World Soccer Agency.
If Scamacca or West Ham want move, influential Barnett will get a deal done
And that immediately sparked speculation he would be on the move this summer.
Barnett is one of the best connected and most influential agents on the planet.
Make no mistake if Scamacca wants out or West Ham wants him gone, Barnett will get a deal done.
We will find out soon after the international transfer window opens on July 1st no doubt.
