A Spurs site has recommended flop attacker Steven Bergwijn to West Ham and says he was hard done by after a Tim Steidten claim.
West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur could both be in search of new forwards in the January transfer window.
But it seems the Hammers could be eyeing one of Tottenham’s old ones.
There was some surprise earlier this week when, somewhat out of the blue, claims emerged from Holland that West Ham technical director Tim Steidten was lining up a move to bring Steven Bergwijn back to London after an unsuccessful spell at Spurs.
Ajax’s manager says the possibility of Bergwijn joining West Ham in January is ‘probably the case’.

And the player himself – sold to Ajax in the summer of 2022 after just eight goals in 83 appearances for Tottenham – was coy when asked directly about rumours of a move to West Ham.
West Ham fans know that Steidten has history when it comes to Ajax. The hugely popular Hammers technical director pulled off two of the deals of the summer window signing Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez for a combined £72m.
With that as background, the rumours have been given a lot of credence among West Ham fans.
And West Ham potentially signing Dutch international Bergwijn in January has raised eyebrows among the fanbases of both the Hammers and Tottenham for different reasons.

Fans divided over potential signing
Some Hammers feel the 26-year-old would be a poor choice having failed at rivals Tottenham.
Meanwhile many Tottenham fans feel the club may have given up on the versatile attacker too early.
Now a Spurs site has recommended flop attacker Bergwijn to West Ham and says he was hard done by after the Steidten claim.
Spurs Web has reported on Bergwijn’s links to West Ham.

‘Bergwijn was hard done by at Spurs’
And despite the rivalry between the two clubs, it has recommended their former winger, claiming he was never given a fair crack of the whip at Tottenham.
“The report explains that the Hammers have reached out to the 26-year-old’s camp to discuss a potential switch to the London Stadium in January,” the site states.
“Bergwijn did quite well at Spurs whenever he got opportunities (which were few and far between under Conte) and he certainly showed that he is more than good enough for the Premier League.
“David Moyes likes attackers who are quick, strong and have a good engine, which is why it is not surprising that the Hammers are considering a move for the former Tottenham man.”
