Truth from the top as a new David Moyes sack claim is made off the back of a reported demand from the West Ham owners.
Another day, another report claiming David Moyes could be set for the sack at West Ham.
Moyes started the month by alleviating the pressure building around his position with a Carabao Cup win over Arsenal.
But the Scot is ending it with yet more question marks over his job.
Before that win over Arsenal, which put the Hammers into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, Hammers News reached out to the top source inside the club for a response to claims the manager could be sacked.
The contact described rumours around Moyes’ job as ‘rubbish’ but admitted things needed to improve.

Truth from the top as new Moyes sack claim is made
“Rubbish,” the source told us earlier this month.
“But we need to start winning again. No clean sheets all season and one win in seven isn’t good enough.
“But we like to honour contracts and expect to.”
Moyes is out of said contract at the end of the season. And that in itself is providing certain sites with enough ammunition to produce a constant stream of stories around the issue.
But the fact remains there is nothing unusual in the current situation. West Ham always wait until the new year to discuss new contracts with managers.
Yesterday West Ham Zone claimed ‘Moyes sack talk could reignite’ off the back off the Divin Mubama situation.

Moyes starts and ends month with speculation over future
The report states that claims the club’s owners have told young striker Mubama to concentrate on football and not money suggests they are guaranteeing him game time over the manager’s head.
The same site then published a story this morning suggesting comments from defender Konstantinos Mavropanos ‘may increase the chances of Moyes sack‘.
Earler this week West Ham were even somewhat bizarrely linked to Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper.
Well here’s the truth from the top as new Moyes sack claim is made off the back of the reported demand from the West Ham owners.

Emphatic one-word response
We put the claims to the highest possible source inside the club and received an emphatic one-word response: “Rubbish!“
Whatever side of the Moyes debate you sit on as a fan, it is clear the Scot will remain manager to see out his contract unless things go drastically wrong between now and May.
With no threat of relegation, though, that seems highly unlikely.
And given what he has done for the club in the last four years, Moyes has earned the right to see out his contract and leave amicably if he and West Ham are indeed to part ways in the summer.
