The Guardian have just made a very big claim indeed about West Ham United defender Thilo Kehrer.

Jacob Steinberg – a football writer for the Guardian – has claimed that West Ham ace Thilo Kehrer faces an uncertain future at the London Stadium.

After a slow start to life with West Ham, Kehrer really turned things around towards the end of the season and firmly established himself as a real fan favourite.

However, it seems as though it’s far from certain that he’ll still be at the London Stadium beyond the end of the summer transfer window

The Guardian reckon that the Germany international faces an uncertain future with the Hammers.

I would be truly shocked if Kehrer was sold this summer, after he really turned things around during the final few months of the campaign.

With his passion, commitment and love for West Ham, the German made himself a firm favourite with the London Stadium faithful.

Sure, he made a few errors for us last season but he left absolutely everything on the pitch every single time he put on the Hammers shirt. And that’s all we ask for as fans.

I think if Kehrer stays at West Ham, we’ll start to see the best of him on a consistent basis now.

It appears as though there’s every chance he could leave East London this summer though. And if that happens, it would be a big shame as far as I’m concerned.
