Serie A giants AC Milan reportedly want to sign Italian hitman Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham United.
That’s according to a report from CMW who claim that the 24-year-old Hammers forward is being lined up as a key signing for AC Milan as and when Rafael Leao is moved on.

Scamacca has already been linked with a move to Italian side Napoli.

Despite his struggles at the London Stadium to date though, I just can’t see a scenario whereby David Moyes would give up on the Italy international so soon.
Moyes doesn’t seem to have a clue how to use the 24-year-old properly, but I’m still holding out hope that the penny will drop with the Scot soon.
Scamacca is an exceptional talent and could be a huge hit at the London Stadium. Whether he stays long enough to fulfil his potential with the Hammers remains to be seen though…
West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca a target for AC Milan
CMW claim that the ex-Sassuolo ace is on Milan’s radar, with Rafael Leao’s future at the San Siro in doubt.
The report doesn’t specify whether the Rossoneri are planning to bid for Scamacca in January or the summer but either way, we should resist any approach made by the Italian giants.
Scamacca joined West Ham from Sassuolo in the summer transfer window for around £35 million (Sky Sports).
The Italy international has just seven goals to his name in all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).

In my opinion, Scamacca’s tepid form has been down to David Moyes’s poor management of him and the way in which the Scot sets up his team.
For what its worth, I think the 24-year-old is actually a magnificent striker, and I really hope we have the chance to see the best of him at the London Stadium.
West Ham selling Scamacca to AC Milan would be a massive mistake in my opinion.
Let’s hope that Moyes sees the light and starts instructing his team to play to the Italian’s strengths.
