West Ham are keeping an eye on Inter Milan forward Alexis Sanchez ahead of the January transfer window according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium in January.
West Ham quite simply cannot rely upon Michail Antonio for an entire season.
Let’s all get real though here…there is surely no way on earth that Moyes will bring Inter’s Sanchez to the London Stadium in January.
The Chilean quite simply doesn’t fit into the category of players who the Scot wants to sign.
Claim emerges on West Ham and Inter Milan ace Alexis Sanchez….pinch of salt?
At 32, the Inter Milan ace is well past his best. The glory years he spent with Arsenal are long gone.
Sanchez’s form has gone downhill since he joined Manchester United from Arsenal back in January 2018. The 139-capped Chilean international has been poor since swapping Manchester for Milan as well.
He’s scored just 11 goals in 74 games for the Serie A outfit.
He doesn’t possess the pace or energy that he once did. Sanchez is on huge wages as well – £187k-a-week according to Salary Sport.
The days of West Ham signing mercenaries are long gone. Bringing Sanchez back to the Premier League at this stage of his career would be a huge mistake.
Sanchez fall from grace:
And after Moyes told reporters a few days ago that he plans to evolve West Ham as a football club by signing the best British youngsters out there, we have to put this Alex Sanchez story in the transfer bin. Absolute rubbish.
