West Ham United are once again being linked with striker Moussa Dembele and Sebastien Haller is the reason.

That’s according to The Sun which claims David Moyes is lining up Lyon’s French forward to replace his compatriot at West Ham.
West Ham have looked toothless whenever Michail Antonio hasn’t played.
Haller has just eight Premier League goals from 35 appearances for the Hammers since making his big money move from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.

Haller divides opinion among West Ham fans. Many feel he is lazy and simply not good enough to justify his price tag.
Others insist he has been misused ever since signing for the club and doesn’t get the kind of service he needs.
Moyes has talked a lot about Haller in the last week or so. His comments very much challenged the forward to start proving his worth and showing he wants to be part of what Moyes is building at West Ham.
Haller put in an improved performance against Fulham and went close to scoring from a corner.

But beyond that he did not have much else to go on.
Now The Sun claims Moyes simply does not fancy Haller as a striker having inherited him from Manuel Pellegrini.
And the Scot wants to sign Dembele as a replacement.
“Hammers boss David Moyes is a big fan of the former Celtic striker, who is frustrated with being left on the bench recently,” The Sun claims.

“And insiders claim Lyon are now willing to sell the player, who was a regular for France’s Under-21s.
“West Ham have money to spend after the last window, when they failed to buy a new frontman.
“Moyes has not been keen to use Sebastian Haller and the chance to replace him appeals.”
The Daily Mail claimed back in January that West Ham boss Moyes sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old in action for Lyon.

That would certainly be a more realistic proposition for West Ham given the difficult financial landscape in football at the moment due to the global health crisis.
