Diop’s missing ring makes hilarious sideshow during West Ham win

But the French defender had forgotten to take a ring off his finger and resorted to pulling the stubborn item of jewellery off with his teeth.

West Ham’s popular player care manager Hugo Scheckter was waiting on hand to take the ring from Diop for safe-keeping.

Things didn’t quite go to plan, though, as the ring went flying onto the London Stadium turf.

Diop ran onto the pitch and it was left to Scheckter to try and locate the ring.
