West Ham are keen to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Breel Embolo in the January transfer window, according to a report from The Sunday People (print edition January 2nd, page 56).

Hammers boss David Moyes absolutely must sign a new striker this month.
It seems as though the Scot’s priority is to sign a top-class centre-back during the January transfer window.
Moyes must not lose sight of how important it will be for him to bring a centre-forward to the London Stadium though.

West Ham are crying out for more quality competition and cover for Michail Antonio. And it seems as though Moyes has someone in mind for the job.
West Ham eyeing Breel Embolo swoop
The Sunday People claims that the 24-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach striker is firmly on the Hammers’ radar.
Embolo has been far from prolific throughout his career to date with just 61 goals in 239 games to his name (Transfermarkt).
He has bagged four goals and four assists in 13 games for Gladbach this season (Transfermarkt).
In spite of his lack of goals, Embolo does possess all of attributes that Moyes looks for in a striker. He possesses blistering pace and was described as a ‘turbo charged’ forward by the Bundesliga’s official website.

The former Basel ace is incredible strong, can lead the line on his own and is willing to make tireless runs into the channels in order to free up space fo this teammates.
The 50-capped Switzerland international could be available fort around £30 million (90 Min).
That seems like decent value to us.
Much will depend on how much the West Ham board are prepared to back Moyes in the January transfer window though.

Hopefully the Scot will have funds to sign a striker and a centre-back. If he does, West Ham could be in for a seriously successful 2021/22 campaign both domestically and on the continent.
