West Ham and Tottenham are both keen to sign Wolves ace Adama Traore this month according to a report from The Telegraph.
West Ham boss David Moyes and Tottenham manager Antonio Conte are both believed to be keen to bolster their attacking ranks before the January transfer window closes.
The Hammers desperately need to bring in more competition and cover for Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.
Meanwhile, Spurs are still looking for more quality and pace in the final third.
Wolves ace Adama Traore is an enigmatic talent, that’s for sure. He has never really fulfilled his potential at Wolves though. So could he leave Molineux for either the London Stadium or the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
West Ham and Tottenham could bid for Traore
The Telegraph claims that the Hammers and Spurs are both eyeing up potential moves to sign the powerful 25-year-old Wolves attacker this month.
We think that Adama would be a really interesting January addition for West Ham.
Moyes has history in converting wingers into centre-forwards. Just look at what the Scot did with Michail Antonio and Mark Arnautovic.
The 25-year-old is a really exciting winger when he is in full flow. The former Barcelona ace possesses blistering pace and is strong as an ox.
It must be said though, the Wolves man has a horrendous goalscoring record. He has just 10 goals to his name in 150 games for Wolves (Transfermarkt).
If he is to operate as a striker, the West Ham coaching staff will have a lot of work on their hands.
The fleet-footed attacker is still a very exciting talent on his day though. And if Moyes wants to sign him, we will back the Scot’s decision. He hasn’t got many wrong has he?
It remains to be seen whether West Ham are able to beat Tottenham in the race for Adama’s signature though.
The 25-year-old could be available for around £20 million this month (The Telegraph). That seems like decent value considering Adama’s potential, pace and power.
And if anyone can get the best out of the Wolves man, it’s David Moyes.
