West Ham are allegedly eyeing up a summer window move to sign Red Bull Salzburg ace Rasmus Kristensen as a potential replacement for Vladimir Coufal.

That’s according to Sport Bild’s latest print edition (February 16th):

West Ham boss David Moyes is well-known to be on the look-out for reinforcements to his squad at the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.

The Scot’s first and foremost priority will be to sign a top-class centre-forward and a centre-back.

It could be argued that the Hammers really need a left-back, a central midfielder and another right-winger as well.

One position where we are fairly well stocked is right-back. It seems as though Moyes may have a plan up his sleeve to bolster that particular department as well, however…

West Ham eyeing summer window Rasmus Kristensen swoop

The 24-year-old RB Salzburg ace is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window according to Sport Bild and he will allegedly cost around €13 million (£11 million).

Given West Ham’s strength in depth in the right-back position, should Kristensen arrive at the London Stadium in the summer, Vladimir Coufal’s days as a Hammer will surely be numbered.

The 29-year-old fan favourite has been incredibly poor for West Ham this season, leading to suggestions that he is a one season wonder.

Moyes has brilliant young duo Ben Johnson and Harrison Ashby to call upon as well, so if the Scot does shell out £11 million on the Denmark international, something will have to give. And that something may well be Coufal.

We think that Kristensen would be a superb addition for West Ham.

He is an incredibly attacking full-back and has bagged six goals in 18 league games for RB Salzburg so far this season (Who Scored)

The Dane is a very good defender as well. In six Champions League outings this term, the 24-year-old averaged 4.7 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and two clearances per game. He also won 3.3 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).

Those numbers really are very impressive.

And as sad as it would undoubtedly be to see Coufal leave West Ham, bringing in Rasmus Kristensen would unquestionably be a huge upgrade for the Hammers.
