Report: West Ham mean business as secret family talks held to sign prime target Dominic Solanke

West Ham have been tipped to spend big this summer and it seems they mean business as secret talks are held to sign Dominic Solanke.

That’s according to an exciting new West Ham transfer claim overnight three months out from the summer window.

The Hammers have a pretty dreadful record when it comes to signing strikers down the years.

And on the rare occasion the club do manage to get it right, they tend to suffer with injuries or don’t stick around too long.

David Moyes has admitted on several occasions this season he has been searching for a forward.

West Ham striker search continues

But the West Ham boss claims there is a dearth of top talent available.

So he elected not to sign a striker in the summer or January, stating Jarrod Bowen could play there instead.

That has had mixed results. And many feel West Ham need a bonafide centre forward. Especially with Lucas Paqueta likely to leave for Man City if cleared in his illegal betting case.

A respected journalist recently announced that Dominic Solanke is West Ham’s number one target this summer.

West Ham in early talks with family and entourage of Solanke

The Bournemouth striker has blossomed this season with 16 goals and three assists in 28 starts.

But it is his link-up play, pace, strength and all round game which has equally impressed.

Well West Ham mean business as secret family talks are held to sign prime summer target Solanke.

According to Football Transfers, West Ham have already held talks with Solanke’s representatives.

And manager Moyes is even said to have spoken to Solanke’s family about him joining West Ham.

It is also claimed the Hammers will more than double the 26-year-old’s wages to £115k per week.

Striker ‘open’ to joining Hammers and will cost £45m

The report states Solanke is open to a move to the London Stadium. And he would cost £45m – the same amount West Ham paid for Sebastien Haller.

When West Ham were linked with Solanke ahead of the January window, Bournemouth owner Bill Foley admitted he may be forced to sell if the player wants the move.

It seems West Ham are – rather refreshingly – getting their transfer house in order well ahead of time.

Because it has been reported this week that technical director Tim Steidten has entered early talks for three lesser-known potential gems.

West Ham are prime candidates to spend big this summer. And the likes of Gary Neville are predicting a summer transfer splurge.
