West Ham United are reportedly eyeing up a move to sign Union Berlin attacker Sheraldo Becker on transfer deadline day.
That’s according to German football journalist Florian Plettenberg who claims that the Hammers have lodged a late enquiry for the 27-year-old Suriname international.

Everton are allegedly interested in signing the versatile Union Berlin attacker before tonight’s 11pm deadline as well.

West Ham boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks before the January transfer window slams shut.
The addition of a versatile attacker who can play anywhere along the front-line will surely be right at the top of the Scot’s agenda.
And it seems as though Moyes has turned his attention to the Bundesliga…
West Ham eyeing deadline day Sheraldo Becker swoop
According to German football journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Hammers and Everton are both interested in prising the 27-year-old away from Union Berlin before 11pm tonight.
I believe that the Suriname international could be a decent surprise addition for West Ham today, if Moyes manages to bring him to the London Stadium.
He has bagged eight goals and six assists in 26 games for Union Berlin so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Becker is absolutely rapid and players with a real kind of directness that we seem to lack at the London Stadium. He can play on either wing, in the number 10 position or even as an auxiliary striker.
Give Me Sport recently described the Union Berlin ace as ‘lightening quick’.
The 27-year-old could be available for around £13 million today (Yahoo). That’s great value in my book.
And I believe that Becker would be a very smart addition for West Ham on deadline day.
