West Ham United have been told that we can sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea for around £40 million this summer.

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher could be set for an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer, with West Ham keen to sign him, according to talkSPORT.

The East London outfit have been heavily linked with a move to sign the 23-year-old Blues ace over the past year or so, most recently just a couple of months ago.

talkSPORT reckon that the Hammers can pick up the 23-year-old Chelsea ace for £40 million this summer.

In this day and age, that sounds like decent value to me. He’s been described as an ‘immense talent’ by Sport Bible.

Gallagher was brilliant during his loan spell with Crystal Palace last season.

He bagged eight goals and three assists in 34 Premier League games for Palace (Transfermarkt). This season, he has only scored three goals for Chelsea, but his overall performances have been very impressive indeed.

He has incredible energy, drive, passion, determination and commitment to the cause. On top of all that as well, Gallagher is incredibly gifted from a technical perspective.

The England international is at a stage of his career now where he should be really looking to kick on by playing week in, week out. I’m not so sure that he will get the chance to do that at Stamford Bridge, and a move to the London Stadium could be perfect for him.

Now, whilst I don’t believe Chelsea star Conor Gallagher would be a like-for-like replacement for Rice, he would certainly add some much needed quality to Moyes’s midfield options.

And if the Scot signs the 23-year-old Blues ace as well as another elite central midfielder, then I think it will be possible for us to move on after Dec leaves.
