West Ham United midfielder Conor Coventry has reportedly been told to find a new club in January transfer window.
That’s according to Football Insider who claim that the 22-year-old Hammers midfielder has been told that he is surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.
That comes as no surprise to me in all honestly.
Coventry has barely played this season, with just 345 minutes of action to his name in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

And it seems as though Coventry’s days at the London Stadium could now be numbered…
West Ham tell Conor Coventry he can leave in January
Football Insider claim that Moyes has instructed the 22-year-old to look for a new club in the January transfer window.
Coventry is a decent player but he is nowhere near good enough to be playing for a Premier League club with aspirations of pushing for the top seven.
The harsh truth of the matter is that Coventry is well down the central midfield pecking order at the London Stadium.

Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Flynn Downes are all well ahead of him, and even the likes of Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals can be used centrally if need be.
It’s just hard to envisage a scenario where the Hammers man will play regularly under David Moyes.
Maybe Conor Coventry does need to leave the London Stadium at some point in the near future for the good of his own career.
And as things stand, it seems highly likely that the 22-year-old midfielder will leave West Ham in the January transfer window.
