Nayef Aguerd is allegedly imminently set to join West Ham United from Rennes.
That’s according to a report from The Mail on Sunday (print edition, June 12th page 144) who claim that the Hammers are close to finalising terms with Rennes regarding the transfer fee.

L’Equipe claimed last week that the 26-year-old defender’s move to the London Stadium was looking more and more likely with every day that passes.
A week later though and we’re still waiting for the Morocco international’s move to West Ham to be announced.

L’Equipe recently claimed that West Ham and Rennes have still not reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Aguerd.
It appears as though things are close to getting wrapped up now though…
Nayef Aguerd set to join West Ham
The Mail on Sunday (print edition, June 12th page 144) claim that the Hammers are now finalising a £25 million deal to bring Aguerd to the London Stadium.
The 26-year-old centre-back’s move to East London from Rennes is now imminent.
And what a great addition he will be to David Moyes’s ranks, if it does eventually happen of course!
Aguerd has been described as a ‘magnificent’ defender by Morocco Detail Zero.
And he’s left-footed so is the ideal long-term replacement for Angelo Ogbonna.

In 31 Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes this season, Aguerd averaged one interception, one tackle and 4.1 clearances per game. He also won 3.1 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).
The Morocco international made 71.7 passes per game on average and recorded an impressive completion rate of 89% (Who Scored).
Aguerd possesses exceptional ball-playing ability as well and this would help increase our resistance to the press from the opposition.
£25 million for the Rennes ace seems like very good value indeed to us.
And judging by the latest round of reports, Aguerd is set to join West Ham very soon indeed.
