A new report has delivered a hugely exciting update on a West Ham move to sign one of the world’s best James Ward-Prowse.
As fans know only too well the clock is ticking down on the moment Declan Rice leaves West Ham this summer.
As sad a prospect as that is for the Hammers it is the reality of football as the skipper goes in search of the Champions League football and top trophies West Ham simply cannot deliver.

It is the logical step for the player and the Hammers.
Not only is he a lovely player in the middle of the park.
But Ward-Prowse could also be a long term penalty taker in the Mark Noble mould and bring that all important goal threat from free-kicks and set piece delivery.

“Ward-Prowse has previously attracted interest from Tottenham and West Ham and also has admirers at Newcastle talkSPORT sources understand.”
At West Ham Ward-Prowse would be a guaranteed starter and – as mentioned earlier – potential captain material.
And realistically he could easily add 15-20 goals to the side from free-kicks and set-piece assists.
That would certainly help take the edge of losing our beloved Rice.
