Report: David Moyes could sell £28 million man with big summer re-jig planned at West Ham

West Ham United reportedly could sell attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from The Mirror who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is set to offload the 24-year-old after his bitterly disappointing debut campaign at the London Stadium.

Vlasic joined West Ham from CSKA Moscow in the summer for around £28 million according to The Mirror. Other reports have claimed that we paid as much as £33 million for him though (Evening Standard).

The Croatia international has really struggled to establish himself with the Hammers and we suggested that Moyes will be losing patience with him right here on Hammers News yesterday.

And it seems as though we hit the nail on the head…

West Ham to sell Nikola Vlasic in the summer

The Mirror reckon that the Hammers will try to offload the Croatian in the summer transfer window after his failure to make any kind of impact whatsoever in East London.

Wet think that moving Vlasic on will 100 per cent be the correct decision.

He hasn’t showed anything at all to convince us that he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

In all fairness to Vlasic, he has been played out of position on the left wing. He is a number 10 by trade and his lack of pace makes him totally ineffective out wide.

Still though, he should have at least shown us glimpses of what he has to offer. Said Benrahma did during his debut campaign, even though he struggled in general.

If West Ham do sell Vlasic in the summer, there is no way that we will recoup £28 million for him. In all fairness, the Hammers would be lucky to get even half of that fee.

Selling him will be the right call though.

The former CSKA Moscow man just doesn’t seem to be suited to Premier League football or West Ham’s playing style one little bit.

And Moyes clearly believes that he can bring in someone better this summer.
