The Hammers currently have just one recognised senior striker amongst their ranks in the form of Michail Antonio.

That needs to change this summer, however.

One striker to have been linked with us on numerous occasions already is Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

Torino Granata reported last month that West Ham want to sign the Italy international.

It is now claimed that the Hammers are actually best placed of any club to sign the 27-year-old (Torino Granata).

West Ham signing Andrea Belotti would be a big statement

The Torino hitman has a very good record of 149 goals in 363 career games (Transfermarkt).

He is a proven goalscorer at the very highest level. Belotti is exactly the kind of striker West Ham should be looking to sign this summer.

West Ham have tracked Belotti before. We allegedly made a £52 million bid for him way back in 2019 (Calcio Mercato).

The 27-year-old has great movement and is accomplished at leading the line on his own.

Football Italia claims that Belotti could be available for just £30 million this summer.

That would be very good value for the Hammers.

Whether West Ham are prepared to spend what would be a large chunk of their budget on one player, however, remains to be seen.
