West Ham United are allegedly battling it out with Arsenal to sign Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.

That’s according to a report from The Evening Standard who claim that the Hammers are prepared to offer the 25-year-old guaranteed football in order to win the race for his signature.

What an unbelievable signing Zinchenko would be for West Ham this summer although we may well have our work cut out with both Arsenal and Chelsea allegedly keen to sign the Ukrainian ace as well.

The 25-year-old Man City star is desperate to play regularly this season and Pep Guardiola is prepared to allow him to leave the Etihad in order to achieve that (The Evening Standard).

And that’s where West Ham come in…

West Ham still in race for Zinchenko

The Evening Standard claim that Arsenal want to sign the Manchester City star but the Hammers have no yet given up the ghost.

David Moyes still wants to bring Zinchenko to the London Stadium and is willing to guarantee him regular action in order to help facilitate that (The Evening Standard).

The Man City ace has been described as ‘unplayable’ by TEAMtalk.

Zinchenko is excellent in possession and poses a real threat going forward but he is a very solid defender at the same time.

The Ukraine international is great in midfield as well, and that is the position that he wants to play in regularly.

The technical ability of the 25-year-old is second to none and his winning mentality would really add something extra to the West Ham squad.

He is highly energetic and has proven for a sustained period of time that he is perfectly suited to the intense nature of Premier League football.

90min reckon that Manchester City want at least £30 million for the Ukraine international. In our view, that’s great value for Zinchenko.

And if West Ham manage to beat Arsenal to the signing of Zinchenko this summer, it will be a big statement of intent from the East London outfit.
