West Ham are keen on signing Roma full-back Rick Karsdorp this summer, and he could be included in a deal that would see Gianluca Scamacca move to the Italian capital.
Roma want to sign West Ham hitman Gianluca Scamacca and West Ham are exploring the possibility of including Rick Karsdorp in the deal, according to a report from Romagiallorossa.it.

Scamacca is being heavily linked with a return to his homeland, and the 24-year-old’s agents have allegedly already met with officials from Roma.

Hammers boss David Moyes has failed to get the best out of the Italy international since he brought him to the London Stadium from Sassuolo in the summer of 2022.
It would surprise nobody if the 6ft 5in striker left the London Stadium before the start of next season. If that happens, it seems as though Moyes will attempt to include another player in the deal…
West Ham could sign Roma right-back as part of Gianluca Scamacca deal this summer
According to a report from Romagiallorossa.it, the Hammers are keen on 28-year-old Roma defender Rick Karsdorp.
The three-capped Netherlands international only played 18 games in all competitions this season for Jose Mourinho’s Roma side, and only 13 of those were Serie A outings.
In those league appearances, Karsdorp averaged 1.6 tackles and 1.2 clearances per game (Who Scored).
The Roma man is very energetic, is a strong tackler and possesses impressive pace.

However, at 28 he arguably only has a couple of years left playing at his prime.
I would much prefer Moyes to bring in someone younger and with more quality – someone like Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Max Aarons.
The Scot always said that he wanted to implement the Red Bull model at the London Stadium, but the proof will be in the pudding.
I really hope that West Ham don’t sell Gianluca Scamacca this summer but if we do, including Karsdorp in the deal would make it even worse for us in my opinion.
