West Ham United reportedly could make a move to sign Roma right-back Bryan Reynolds this summer.

Romagiallorossa.it claim that Bryan Reynolds in on the West Ham radar, and Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto could discuss the 21-year-old with the East London outfit as part of a deal that would see Gianluca Scamacca head in the opposite direction.

Hammers manager David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his right-back ranks at the London Stadium this summer, with Vladimir Coufal set to turn 31 in August and Ben Johnson proving to be nowhere good enough for Premier League football.

Signing a young right-back with bags of quality should be one of Moyes’s main priorities this summer.

And it seems as though the Scot has someone in particular in mind…

West Ham could now sign ‘exceptional’ full-back Bryan Reynolds as part of swap deal

If Roma sign Scamacca this summer, Reynolds, 21, could be included in the deal, according to Romagiallorossa.it.

I think that Reynolds could be a really smart long-term investment from the Hammers.

The youngster joined Roma from FC Dallas in 2021 for around £6 million (Dallas Morning News). And despite not featuring much for the Italian giants, he has impressed during loan spells away from the Italian capital.

In 27 league appearances for Westerlo this season, the young American bagged one goal and two assists and averaged 1.4 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 1.4 clearances per game. During those outings, he made 38.4 passes per match and has recorded a completion rate of 81.8% (Who Scored).

Chiesa Di Totti describe the American starlet as an ‘exceptional’ young player. Standing at 6ft 3in, he has great height for a full-back, so is really strong in the air, but is very quick along the ground as well.

With an urgent upgrade required in the right-back department this summer, West Ham signing Bryan Reynolds would make perfect sense.
