Champions League club Atletico Madrid are eyeing up a move to sign Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham, as a potential replacement for Joao Felix.

That’s according to football journalist Antonio Ruiz who claims that the 23-year-old Hammers hitman is on Diego Simeone’s list of potential replacements for the Portugal international.

Manchester United have been linked with a blockbuster £110 million move to sign Felix from Atleti (The Daily Mail).

And if the 23-year-old attacker leaves the Spanish capital, it seems as though Simeone wants Scamacca to replace him.

The Italy international joined the Hammers from Sassuolo in the summer for around £35 million but has so far failed to establish himself at the London Stadium.

David Moyes has failed to set up his team to get the best out of Scamacca, and as a result, he has been linked with an early exit from the London Stadium.

Club insiders have denied those rumours. However, talk regarding a potential exit for Scamacca is refusing to go away…

Champions League club eyeing move to sign Gianluca Scamacca

According to football journalist Antonio Ruiz, the Italian is a target for Atletico Madrid, should Joao Felix leave the club in the January transfer window:

I’m convinced that Scamacca won’t be going anywhere this winter.

It will be interesting to see the West Ham owners’ stance if Atletico Madrid come in with a huge offer for his services though.

With Champions League club Atleti eyeing a move to sign Gianluca Scamacca, it proves just how good the Italian is.
